Dr. Karine Megerdoomian

Karine is a computational linguist and AI strategist with over two decades of experience in multilingual NLP and linguistically grounded AI systems. A certified Chief AI Officer with a PhD in Linguistics, she leads Zoorna’s research and educational initiatives, with a focus on low-resource languages, semantic complexity, and inclusive AI. She also specializes in Persian and Armenian linguistics, complex predicates, and the syntax–semantics interface. Previously a Principal AI Engineer at MITRE, she directed large-scale NLP efforts across education, healthcare, and national security.
