Zoorna AI is the applied AI practice of Dr. Karine Megerdoomian, a computational linguist and AI strategist with more than 20 years of experience designing, building, and evaluating AI systems. Her work combines deep technical expertise with a practical focus on helping organizations adopt AI that delivers real business value.

Karine spent 18 years at the MITRE Corporation, most recently as Principal AI Engineer, leading multi-year applied AI research, development, and evaluation programs for federal sponsors including the US Courts, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Census Bureau, and Department of Defense partners. Her work spanned multilingual NLP, narrative and event analytics, structured information extraction, AI evaluation, and responsible AI governance for high-stakes deployment contexts. Her current focus extends that foundation into modern AI systems, bringing the same research rigor and operational discipline to today's technologies.

What sets her work apart is a background in computational linguistics. Language and culture influence data quality, evaluation, user adoption, and ultimately whether AI succeeds in the real world. That perspective helps uncover risks and opportunities that purely technical approaches often miss.
